Tanganyika Washington is the proprietor of TNT Tutoring and Educational Services and a Secondary Math educator. She has worked in education for almost 10 years, creating and implementing STEM training programs for youth and adults by partnering with community organizations and local school districts. Currently, she is working as a middle school math teacher in the Detroit Public School System. She also sits on the Community Connections Small Grant committee. This grant program has given more than $3 Million to grass roots organizations to create better outcomes for the citizens of Detroit. In addition to these endeavors, Ms. Washington consistently works in the community, whether it is participating in programs that help to prevent property tax foreclosure or working to inform/educate the community on Green Infrastructure and the value in participating in Green Infrastructure Research. She is also a dedicated member and the Christian Education minister of Grace Community Church of Detroit. She views her participation in helping Detroiters to succeed as an extension of her faith, and it gives her great joy.
